Six zombie games to look forward to

These are some of the BIGGEST games being released this & next year

It’s a good time to be a zombie fan with a number of AAA titles scheduled for release later this year and in 2019. Here are six games I can’t wait to get my hands on.

World War Z

Zombies go global in developer Saber Interactive’s World War Z, a four player cooperative action game in which you take on hordes of zombies. From what I have seen so far, the game looks similar to the film which I think is great. According to the developer, World War Z will focus on the story and take place in cities like New York, Moscow, and Jerusalem among others.

Dead Island 2

The sequel to 2011’s Dead Island, Dead Island 2 doesn’t take place on an island but in California in a quarantine zone. Dead island 2 is currently being developed by Sumo Digital after being dropped by Yager Development, the studio responsible for such gems as Spec Ops: The Line, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites. Sumo Digital is an experienced studio that has released many games over the years, most of which are ok, so I’m not too disappointed about the change.

Days Gone

In Days Gone, the player controls Deacon St. John as he tries to survive hordes of zombies in a post-apocalyptic open world. The cool thing about Days Gone is that it allows you to complete objectives in multiple ways, and it also has interesting weather and day/night cycles features.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

In case Overkill’s upcoming game is not enough The Walking Dead for you, there’s also The Walking Dead: The Final Season to look forward to. In The Final Season, Clementine is accompanied by the infant from the second season as she journeys “through to the end,” the game’s developer has explained.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

If this game doesn’t get announced at E3 next week, I’ll flip out, (just little bit). Everything points to it being revealed at E3. Don’t believe me? This may help, this, and this.
